Melbourne Prize For Urban Sculpture 2008
Now in its fourth year, The Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture represents the second cycle of the now well established three year program. Recognising and rewarding talent is the hallmark of the Melbourne Prize and this year's program saw an overwhelming increase in entries. The identity and visual language created reflects the vibrancy and energy of the sculptural community and its commitment to enriching the urban landscape of Melbourne. This year's winner titled ‘Maxims of Behaviour’ by Alexander Knox is testament to the importance of the Prize in challenging the conventional definition of Urban Sculpture.
